I write about many subjects including . joy, sorrow, death , mystery and most of all love. Love is important to every member of the human race. It is also one of the most interesting and complex emotions to explore in fiction.

In "Close to the Flames", the romance novel grows up. No more lily skinned, dim-witted accepting virgins for the women of today. We prefer our women to be, career women, women of substance, women of intelligence , with minds of their own. Gabby Franks is such a woman when she meets and falls in love with Dr. Graham Wright. They pull us into their lives and share with us their hopes, failures and dreams. It is s twist of fate that bestows fortune on one person and robs another. Their story makes us laugh , cry hope and mourn. In the end it leaves us with a sense of emptiness and emotion well spent.

"As Wolves Whisper "( Romance Mystery)

This one takes place in Lost Loon Minnesota, . I call it the frozen tundra, in Northern Minnesota, in the winter of the wolves. She is alone with her brood of children that changes any mother from one moment of insanity into the next being extremely rational. It all starts to change when a frozen body is found on her back porch.

My credentials for writing, started at the age of eleven. First it was poems , then moved into short stories. By the time I was 27 byI was writing small novels. I have lived from North Carolina, Florida, Kentucky to Michigan, with much time spent in Tennessee, and Louisiana. It is through these areas I have drawn the sense of place and character as well as the authentic backgounds for which I write, But more importantly I have experienced life to the fullest, in doing this I have loved , and loved until it hurt. Haven't you?

For that reason I write about, Love, betrayal, trust, infidelity, joy , death and heartbreak. In other words , having lived the fifty plus years, I write what I know . and by doing that, I write a book i would enjoy reading. And isn't that after all , one of the major rewards of writing ?
