Why
Literacy is Important is the topic for the 2010 Redbud
Writers’ Row. Scheduled for Saturday, April 10, 2010,
Redbud Writers’ Row will host local and regional authors
and provide an opportunity to discuss a book with its
author. Books of all types will be available for your
reading pleasure. Authors will be in the Robson Arena
(Gymnasium) from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. to sell and
autograph their books.
In addition to authors, Writers’ Row will be host to the
Kentucky Humanities Council’s program-New Books for New
Readers. Steve Price, coordinator, will be available to
discuss the project and show the many books available
through the program. The Council develops and
distributes these books because they promote literacy,
teach history, and promote reading as a pleasure, not
just a survival skill.
The Redbud
Festival is pleased to announce the appearance of the
following local and regional writers at the 2010 Redbud
Festival. For more information about any author
